Colleen's 2008 has been fantastic, with 4 marathons completed, and the 3-day (20 mile per day) walk for breast cancer in Boston, all done comfortably and injury free!. Along the way, she placed 3rd in Age Group at the Lehigh Marathon!! Way to go, Snowflake!
Cheryl, in addition to being a fabulous runner, is also an avid Cross-Fit athlete, and has benefitted greatly from this variety of cross training. This fall, within a few weeks of each other, she set very nice PR's in the 10K and half-marathon. She'll be ramping up for another go at the full marathon for next spring.
Chuck recorded a nice PR at the Philly marathon this year, and, of equal importance, ran the race in complete control of it, finishing comfortably with a nice kick at the end. Way to go Chuck! PS, he's quite the hockey player too, I'm told.
Paige trained with Great Strides and ran her first marathon at Philly this year, and ran a perfect race, finishing comfortably, and already looking forward to running Shamrock Marathon in March with her mom.
Speaking of her mom...Nancy had a great fall season running several half-marathons, all of them in complete control and finishing them all strong. As mentioned, she's ramping up for her FIRST marathon at Shamrock in March 2009. Well done Nank!
Bob is ramping up his training for a BQ attempt this spring. Training is going very well so far. Keep up the good work, Bob!
January 2009: Colleen got the year off to a great start with a one-minute PR in the 5K (after a December 5K PR, to boot!). She also took 1st in Age Group!
