Polka Dot and Snowflake head to the finish!
Jack,
I want to thank you for helping me to achieve something that, quite frankly, I never really thought possible for myself! THANK YOU for all of your help, your advice, your encouragement, for EVERYTHING!!! I am so incredibly happy that I did this and can’t imagine doing it without all of your coaching and guidance. As cheesy as it might sound, it’s absolutely true that that finish line changes you. I can honestly say that I became a different (dare I say, a better) person after mile 26.2.
Between the weekly emails keeping me on schedule, the sports psychology white papers, and our weekly calls, I knew I was in good hands. As you know, I was always asking a million questions and you were always patient enough to answer them all.
You were everything and more in my mind that a coach is supposed to be. You were motivating and encouraging while remaining educational and focused. By the time November 22nd, 2009 rolled around, I never once questioned if I was ready. I trusted your training and knew I would get to the end.
I was thrilled with my 4:28:20 finishing time and even finished with a smile (and yes, many tears) on my face.
I am proud to call myself a Marathoner and proud to have become part of the Great Strides team.
Simply: You Rock!!
Thanks Jack,
Jeanie
